Job summary

Bowhead Family of Companies seeks an experienced Graphic Designer to join the NAVAIR Command Communication Team for a temporary role. The designer will provide multimedia, desktop publishing, and presentation support in alignment with AP/Navy and NAVAIR styles.

Responsibilities include meetings with customers, message portrayal, and producing web and print graphics using Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in graphic design required or AS/AA with 2 years of related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in graphic design.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and general graphic design.
• Knowledge of HTML and web tools; SharePoint development knowledge is a plus.

Job description

GRAPHIC DESIGNER (NAVAIR-2026-26007-F): Bowhead seeks an experienced graphic designer to join the NAVAIR Command Communication Team.

This is a temp role.

The graphics designer will provide timely multi‑media, desktop publishing, and presentation support to meet NAVAIR Corporate Communication Department requirements. Tasking may include:

• Meet with customer to determine the scope of project
• Understand the message the design should portray
• Create images that identify or convey a message
• Develop graphics to illustrate organizational principles on websites and in print
• Select colors, images, text style, and layout
• Present the design for approval
• Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design
• Review designs for errors The graphic design shall provide multi‑media support for digital media using appropriate software including but not limited to: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Content shall be in accordance with appropriate style guides, including, but not limited to Associated Press, Navy and NAVAIR styles.

Education:

• BS or BA degree in graphic design or a related field. Allowable Substitution:
• AS or AA degree in graphic design and two (2) years of experience.
• Experience: At least three (3) years of experience.
• Experienced in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, PC and Mac operating systems, graphic design.
• Additional tasking involves working with HTML and web tools to design and publish messaging via email and web portals. Sharepoint development knowledge is a plus.

CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
