Job summary

Ohio State University invites applications for the Graphic Design Student Assistant position within the OH-TECH Communications-JM team on West Campus. You will create and edit promotional materials, digital artwork for social media, and event assets while learning typography and print workflows.

The role is onsite with potential partial remote options later, offers flexible hours (10–20 per week) and a supportive team culture within OH-TECH.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), ability to deliver on deadline.
• Completion of a typography course and knowledge of print production processes.
• Interest in photography/videography a plus; visual communications student preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit promotional materials such as fliers, brochures and postcards.
• Create digital artwork for social media and the web.
• Oversee the creation of new employee materials like business cards and office signs.
• Create event materials such as programs, name badges and signage.
• Take photos for social media, the web and marketing materials.
• Work on special projects as needed.
• Create wayfinding materials.
