Job summary

Sam Houston State University is seeking a Student Employee for the Dept of Art-Graphic Design Lab as a Lab Assistant. The role requires a Graphic Design major who has passed the graphic design review and maintains a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Qualifications

Must be a full-time student.
Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work on a Mac.
Works collaboratively in a team environment.
Aware of current best practices in creating accessible documents.

Responsibilities

Help keep the Graphic Design (GD) area organized and ready.
Receive and perform semester-specific tasks including rearranging, cleaning, planning, setup.
Ensure lab hours are posted in visible locations.
Troubleshoot Mac computers, force quit/restart as needed.
Assist students with technical problems to the best of your ability.
Maintain proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and iMovie.
Stay knowledgeable about lab printing equipment and manuals.
Maintain a clean lab and enforce lab rules.
Report concerns to supervisor via email promptly.
