Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a graphic design intern to support the development and production of creative assets across digital and print. You will assist with website and app updates, create production-ready files, and apply feedback from designers in a fast-paced brand team.

The role requires proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Figma, and After Effects, plus a keen eye for typography and color theory. Philadelphia home office during the internship is required.

Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing or recently completed a degree in graphic arts, visual studies, or a related creative discipline.
  • Strong visual thinking and sharp design sensibility.
  • Ability to execute across multiple formats and channels.
  • Understanding of typography, composition, color theory, and responsive design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Basic animation or motion design skills, including After Effects.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in file setup, naming conventions, and server archiving practices.
  • Awareness of current design and fashion trends.
  • Positive and proactive communication skills.
  • Appetite for collaboration within a high-energy team environment.
  • Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
  • Required Concept Board in preferred 8.5 x 11 PDF format, submitted with the application.
  • Concept Board must show 3–5 emerging Fall 2027 fashion trends for the Urban Outfitters customer.
  • Portfolio must be uploaded with the application.
  • Must complete a video interview within two days of receiving the interview email if selected.
  • Ability to work at the Home Office in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during the internship program.

Responsibilities

  • Support design and production of creative assets across digital and print, including web, app, email, social, signage, printed collateral, and marketing materials.
  • Assist with web and app updates, including banners, imagery modules, promotional assets, and routine content updates.
  • Prepare production-ready digital and print files.
  • Apply feedback from designers and art directors.
  • Participate in brainstorms, moodboarding, and creative reviews.
  • Contribute ideas and visual references to seasonal and marketing initiatives.
  • Create and adapt artwork, layouts, textures, and existing creative across formats and placements.
  • Maintain organized working files, naming conventions, and archived final assets.
  • Develop understanding of the creative process from concept through final production.
  • Collaborate with the brand design team in a fast-paced creative environment.
