Job summary

Lyten, Inc. is seeking a technician for the Graphene Manufacturing Team to operate automated assembly machines for graphene production in our San Jose facility. You will start up, run, and shut down equipment, process materials, and ensure output meets KPIs while following SOPs.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in manufacturing, proficiency with MS Office, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Preference for a Bachelor's degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing or production-based environment.
• Minimum of 1 year of proficiency in MS Office tools.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate (start-up, run, and shutdown) and maintain (assemble/disassemble) existing mechanical equipment.
• Process materials and occasional conduct process equipment maintenance.
• Identify and help develop equipment and process improvements.
• Follow all established safety rules and regulations and utilize required safety equipment.
• Record equipment related issues and alert facility manager or a process engineer.
• Perform other duties as required or as requested by the manager.

The position requires someone with experience operating and following SOPs, understanding production sequences, interacting with software tools like MES and LIMS, and delivering output meeting internal KPIs. The incumbent will support startup of the facility, development of work protocols for high volume production, maintain safe and organized work environment, and support process transfer from R&D to high volume production. The employee will be required to use his or her hands for lab instrument and equipment operation Must pass a respirator fitment test. Required chem-/bio-safety training upon hiring.
