Job summary

Penn State Outreach seeks a Proposal and Award Team Lead to provide leadership and oversight for the Grants Team, guiding proposal development, pre-award, and post-award activities. You will supervise staff, implement grants processes, and ensure sponsor and university compliance.

The role collaborates with Principal Investigators, Outreach leadership, sponsors, and external partners, overseeing budgets, reporting, and continuous improvement across the grant lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in grants administration or related field.
• Knowledge of federal regulations including 2 CFR 200.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of the full grant lifecycle across proposal development, pre-award, and post-award.
• Develop and monitor grants management processes and service delivery models.
• Lead, supervise, hire, train, and develop Grants Team.
• Oversee financial administration and compliance for sponsored awards.
• Prepare and present reports, metrics, and analyses related to grant activity.
