Job summary

The Grants Manager at GHR Foundation oversees comprehensive grants management across GHR and client foundations, handling processing, compliance, payments, and data integrity. You will lead data management and tooling, train staff, and ensure high-quality service in an integrated system across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in philanthropy, operations or data management.
• Strong commitment to GHR’s values and collaborative work style.
• Curiosity, critical inquiry and networks for new information and insights.
• Extensive database administration and data management experience; knowledge of reporting.
• Customer-service orientation with training experience for diverse users.
• Ability to design and implement policies, procedures and compliance controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to train at all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual grants management work plan and budget.
• Design and monitor workflows; improve systems, processes and policies.
• Work with finance to process grant payments and provide reporting for audits.
• Problem-solve complex grant scenarios; liaise with finance and legal counsel.
• Supervise Grants Management team; train and support staff; manage workload and development.
• Maintain knowledge of best practices and regulatory developments in grants.
• Design, administer and maintain grants database, dashboards, forms and reports.
• Oversee data-entry controls and quality control for accurate reporting.
• Respond to data requests with analysis, dashboards and summaries.
• Monitor internal grant making metrics and trends; conduct internal audits.
