Job summary

Anthropocene Alliance is seeking a Grants and Member Engagement Manager to oversee our grant-writing program for member organizations and provide hands-on support. You will lead multi-member funding initiatives, deliver trainings, and help members develop competitive proposals for major state, federal, and national funding opportunities, with emphasis on climate resilience.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week), U.S.-based and fully remote, with potential travel to events.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of grant writing and grant management experience.
• Understanding of climate resilience, environmental justice, or related fields.
• Experience providing technical assistance, training, or capacity-building to nonprofit organizations.
• Excellent writing, editing, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and work across teams.
• Strong relationship-building with community leaders, partners, and funders.
• Familiarity with federal environmental funding programs (e.g., NFWF, FEMA, EPA, NOAA) is preferred.
• Ability to develop tools, templates, and training materials for member capacity.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one grant support to members, including brainstorming and proposal alignment.
• Review, edit, and provide feedback on member grant applications and budgets.
• Support grant-focused webinars and trainings for members on funding strategies.
• Lead drafting of pre-proposals and full proposals for vetted member candidates.
• Coordinate with funders and internal teams to ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Develop and maintain grant templates and guidance materials.
• Track grant-writing activities and outcomes across membership.
• Engage with new and existing members to promote benefits and participation.
