Grants Manager A/B (Abramson Cancer Center)

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Job Description Summary: Directly report to Director of Grant Administrator, Abramson Cancer Center. Under direction, primary function is to oversee day-to-day financial operations of Pre and Post Awards within the ACC. Duties include preparing proposal budgets for NIH, NSF and other sponsor program entities and agencies in PennERA; monitoring grant expenditures for compliance; producing financial reports; and processing payroll and financial transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day financial operations within the ACC.
  2. Prepare and maintain proposal budgets for NIH, NSF, and other sponsors.
  3. Monitor grant expenditures for compliance and financial activities.
  4. Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  5. Process and track pre and post awards for sponsor program funds and progress reports.
  6. Manage sub-awards and purchase orders within the Research Inventory System.
  7. Attend weekly meetings and assist with the process and tracking of Post-docs.
  8. Provide liaison to the School of Medicine’s Research Support Services and the University’s Office of Research Services.

Qualifications:

Grants Manager A: Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in grants management in an academic setting preferred. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and university financial systems are essential.

Grants Manager B: Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in grants management in an academic setting strongly preferred.

Pay Range: $51,824.00 - $80,000.00 Annual Rate
