Job summary

The National Grants Management Association seeks a Grants Manager to lead the full lifecycle of grant activities, act as the primary contact for agencies and staff, and advance department initiatives within the City of Wyoming.

You will oversee research, applications, post-award implementation, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with grant requirements and organizational policies. This onsite role includes a comprehensive benefits package and a four-day workweek.

Responsibilities

• Research funding opportunities aligned with the City’s strategic and financial goals and CIP.
• Prepare, coordinate, and submit applications, including developing narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate post-award grant implementation, working with departments to ensure projects are launched effectively.
• Develop and maintain grant management processes and procedures for tracking documentation and internal controls.
• Monitoring grant performance and financial activity.
• Ensure compliance with all grant requirements by conducting regular reviews and maintaining adherence to applicable regulations, budgets, and City policies.

The Grants Manager position at the City of Wyoming will support and advance key department initiatives by administering and overseeing the City’s grant award portfolio.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of grant activities and will serve as the main point of contact for grant agencies, department staff, and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Researching and identifying funding opportunities aligned with the City’s strategic and financial goals and Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)
• Preparing, coordinating, and submitting applications, including developing narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation
• Coordinating post-award grant implantation, working with departments to ensure projects are launched effectively
• Developing and maintaining grant management processes and procedures for tracking documentation and internal controls
• Monitoring grant performance and financial activity
• Ensure compliance with all grant requirements by conducting regular reviews and maintaining adherence to applicable regulations, budgets, and City policies

Candidate will need to effectively communicate with City staff and grantors, to research and identify possible funding opportunities in support of the City Strategic Plan, CIP, and financial goals.
