Job summary

Port Discovery Children's Museum in Baltimore's Inner Harbor is seeking a detailed, mission-driven Grants Manager to lead our grants program and ensure excellence in philanthropic work that advances our mission.

You will manage the full grants workflow across private foundations, corporate philanthropy, and government funds, administer the museum's CRM grant functions, steward institutional partnerships, and contribute to government relations as part of the three-person Development team.

Qualifications

• Experience managing the full grants workflow across private foundations, corporate philanthropy and government funds.
• Ability to administer grant functions within a CRM and generate reporting.
• Experience stewarding institutional partnerships and supporting government relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the museum's grants program and manage the grants-based workflow across the Development portfolio.
• Administer the CRM grant functions and maintain accurate grant records and reporting.
• Steward institutional partnerships and support government relations and advocacy efforts.
• Collaborate as a core member of the three-person Development team to grow the philanthropic portfolio.

Job description

Port Discovery Children's Museum, one of the top Children's Museums in the United States and a top cultural institution in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, is seeking a detailed and mission-oriented individual to join our team as our Grants Manager. The mission of Port Discovery is to connect purposeful play with learning.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire grants-based workflow of the museum's Development portfolio, which includes funding from private foundations, corporate philanthropy, and government/public funds. Related duties include administering the grant functions of the museum's CRM, stewarding institutional partnerships, and co-managing government relations and advocacy. This position ensures that the museum's philanthropic portfolio is robust, growing, and reflective of the museum's mission and values at the highest standard of excellence. The Grants Manager will be a core member of the three-person Development team.

COMPENSATION

$55,000-60,000 annual
