Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation seeks a Grants Manager to oversee grantmaking operations, ensuring equity, efficiency, and compliance. You will lead the grant lifecycle, serve as the GMS expert, and partner with program staff to optimize processes and data-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Grants management experience within a foundation or similar grantmaking organization.
• Hands-on administration of a grant management system (Blackbaud Grantmaking preferred).
• Track record of managing complex projects, processes, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong use of technology and data to support operational effectiveness and decision-making.
• Ability to provide responsive support to applicants and grantees.
• Bilingual Spanish and English is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operational components of grantmaking as part of a larger team.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the Grant Management System (GMS).
• Lead the implementation of funding opportunities, including RFPs and initiatives.
• Support equitable practices and optimize grantflow across program areas.
• Provide coaching and training to strengthen system adoption and digital capabilities.
• Promote equitable and exceptional experience for applicants and grantees.
• Analyze grant data to generate insights and inform strategies.
• Collaborate to improve grantmaking processes and learning across the organization.
