Job summary

Zach Theater in Austin, TX seeks a Grants Officer to lead its foundation and government fundraising program. You will manage a portfolio of institutional funders, write proposals and reports, and collaborate with Finance and program staff to build budgets and collect outcomes.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and organized project manager who can build relationships with funders and drive a sustainable pipeline aligned with Zach's mission.

Qualifications

  • Four or more years of grant writing, institutional fundraising, or nonprofit development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in arts administration or related field.
  • Demonstrated success securing foundation and/or government grant funding.
  • Experience in the performing arts or cultural nonprofit sector preferred.
  • Experience interpreting program outcomes and developing grant budgets with finance staff.
  • Familiarity with donor research tools and grant reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full grant lifecycle from prospect research to reporting and stewardship.
  • Write compelling proposals and reports communicating Zach's mission, programs, impact, and funding priorities.
  • Collaborate with Finance and program staff to develop budgets and collect program outcomes.
  • Ensure deadlines for proposals, reporting, and stewardship are met through proactive planning.
  • Develop cultivation and stewardship strategies and coordinate funder engagements.
