Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a compliance-focused financial professional to lead post-award activities, ensure regulatory reporting, and support grant administration. You will work with Accounting to allocate costs, monitor spending, and maintain audit-ready documentation across multiple funding sources.

Candidates should have a finance or accounting background with strong Excel skills, experience in regulated environments, and a collaborative, multi-project mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related business field.
• 3+ years in compliance, regulatory reporting, audit, financial controls, or related work.
• Experience with accounting and enterprise systems.
• Strong Excel skills with data analysis experience.
• Experience with grant-funded or government-supported programs preferred.
• Analytical and financial analysis skills with attention to detail.
• Collaborative work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post-award compliance activities and provide documentation to meet funding requirements.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Finance on cost allocations and eligibility.
• Maintain compliance reporting calendar and ensure timely submissions.
• Monitor spend-down, cost center usage, and budget consumption; report variances.
• Assist in internal control reviews and validate transactional coding.
• Develop program reporting to identify efficiency and compliance opportunities.
• Train staff on compliance documentation and financial protocols.
• Support grantor and regulator inquiries with clear documentation.
• Assist in interpreting compliance requirements for new funding sources.
• Maintain digital compliance archives and support audit readiness.
• Communicate policy updates and improve workflows tied to compliance.
• Partner with Accounting to classify routine vs. grant expenditures.
• Lead ad hoc financial projects and scenario analyses as needed.
