Job summary

The University of South Florida in Tampa is seeking a Grant Financial Administrator (Finance) to review, administer, audit and account for contracts and awards from external sponsors. You will monitor sponsored research projects for compliance and provide budget and financial guidance to faculty, PIs and staff.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience (or a Master's) and offers a competitive salary: $57,500 to $62,500, commensurate with experience, along with USF's

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 1 year of professional administrative experience; or a Master's degree.
Progressively responsible related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Related experience includes accounting, auditing, research administration, etc.

Responsibilities

Reviews contract and award terms and conditions to maintain accurate data files and official project records.
Manages sponsor billing and reporting, builds cost-sharing budgets, and supports budget/cost sharing plan modifications.
Coordinates with academic administrators, faculty, and offices to resolve financial issues and mitigate risk.
Analyzes accounting data and prepares responses for sponsor inquiries and audits.
