Legal Aid Chicago is seeking a full-time Grants Financial Manager to oversee the complete life cycle of government and private foundation grants. You will manage grant budgets, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with 2 CFR Part 200 and Legal Services Corporation regulations.

The role requires residency in the Chicago metropolitan area and offers a hybrid work environment with an ADA-accessible office at 200 N. LaSalle Street.

Qualifikationen

• BA/BS degree in business administration, nonprofit financial management, economics, public administration, accounting, or equivalent field preferred; five or more years of experience with grants and nonprofit finances strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of relevant regulations and requirements to meet government and grantee regulations and reporting requirements for grant financial activities.
• Experience in preparing reports for submission to sponsor and/or management, regular budget reports, and performing variance analyses.
• Ability to interpret sponsor, institutional, and departmental policies.
• Ability to analyze financial information in various formats (including ledgers) and complete required reports.

• Oversee the life cycle of government and private foundation grants, including reporting deadlines and budget monitoring.
• Prepare and manage grant budgets and requests for revisions or amendments.
• Prepare, submit, and review financial reports and coordinate with staff accountants on other grants.
• Review grant transactions for reasonableness, monitor cash balances, and inform project teams of status.
• Reconcile grant activity and ensure accurate reflection in the general ledger monthly.
• Participate in cost allocation and contract review for awards.
