Job summary

Success Academy Charter Schools is seeking a Team Lead to own the grants and government funding accounting lifecycle, producing financial reports for private foundations and government awards, and maintaining strong controls. You will help re‑engineer and develop best‑in‑practice grants accounting processes, and support month‑end closing with appropriate documentation.

This role partners with audit teams and ensures GAAP compliance in a fast‑paced nonprofit.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with at least 3 years in grants/government funding accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in charter schools is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee core financial and accounting aspects of private grants and government funding.
• Maintain an adequate system of accounting records and strong controls.
• Identify opportunities for process simplification and automation.
• Re-engineer and develop best-in-class grants accounting processes with documentation.
• Ensure key financial controls for the grants function operate effectively.
