2025 Management Grade 122 $74,904 - midpoint $90,595
2025 Management Grade 120 $57,952 - midpoint $72,500

SUMMARY:

The City of Peoria Community Development Department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Grants Coordinator or Association Grants Coordinator depending on the qualifications of applicant. This position will work with Federal, State, and private funders to ensure compliance with grant regulations and will interact with other City Departments and local community development partner organizations. An ideal candidate would bring knowledge, creativity, and a strong desire to improve the community. The Department is looking for a candidate with experience in affordable housing development, federal grant experience, and grant reporting and monitoring.



Examples of Duties

IMPORTANT ATTRIBUTES: Knowledge of principles and practices of grant administration; financial administration, accounting, and budgeting; community planning and development; proposal development and grant writing; applicable state, federal, and local laws, rules, and regulations; and methods of research, statistical analysis, and report presentation. Skill in researching, compiling, and summarizing informational and statistical data; organizing work, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines; using a computer for data entry and retrieval; exercising tact, discretion, initiative, and independent judgment; and communicating effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional periodicals, technical procedures, and government regulations.

MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal exposure to outdoor temperatures or dust. Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Public Administration, Economics, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field; and two to four years of progressively responsible related experience. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. The Associate Grant Coordinator position requires zero to two years of related experience.
