Central Ohio Youth for Christ (COYFC) is seeking a strategic, organized, and mission-driven Grants Coordinator to lead and strengthen the organization's grant development and management efforts.

This individual will identify funding opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, build relationships with funders, and oversee grant implementation and reporting. Working collaboratively with ministry leaders, program staff, and the Finance Department, the Grants Coordinator will help secure resources that expand the impact of COYFC, its subsidiaries, and its affiliate, Gracehaven.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Research and Development

• Identify and evaluate funding opportunities from private, corporate, family, and government funders.
• Prioritize opportunities that align with organizational goals, ministry programs, and funding needs.
• Build relationships with prospective funders and learn their funding priorities.
• Collaborate with ministry and program leaders to develop grant opportunities.
• Stay informed about funding trends, grant requirements, and emerging opportunities.

Grant Writing and Submission

• Research, develop, and write compelling grant proposals aligned with organizational priorities.
• Review grant guidelines, eligibility requirements, and funding restrictions.
• Collaborate with program staff to develop work plans, budgets, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate required documentation and ensure applications are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.

Grant Management and Reporting

• Coordinate grant implementation with ministry leaders, program staff, and the Finance Department.
• Establish grant timelines, responsibilities, milestones, and reporting deadlines.
• Monitor grant spending, program progress, and outcomes to ensure compliance with funder requirements.
• Coordinate progress reports, reimbursement requests, and final reports.
• Identify challenges and work with appropriate teams to ensure grant commitments are fulfilled.

Administration and Organizational Coordination

• Maintain a comprehensive grant calendar, tracking opportunities, deadlines, awards, and reporting requirements.
• Maintain organized records of grant prospects, applications, awards, budgets, and reports.
• Develop and maintain a Grants Manual with standardized policies, procedures, and reporting tools.
• Coordinate grant kickoff meetings and ongoing grant review meetings.
• Promote effective communication, accountability, and consistent grant management practices across departments.

• Represent COYFC's faith and mission with authenticity and integrity when engaging funders and community partners.
• Understand and ensure compliance with faith-based, faith-neutral, and government funding requirements, including appropriate separation and tracking of restricted funds.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in grant research, proposal writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development.
• Experience working with private foundations, corporations, and government funding sources preferred.
• Knowledge of grant compliance, financial tracking, outcome measurement, and reporting preferred.
