Job summary

Wake County is seeking a Grants Compliance Officer to oversee the full lifecycle of the county-wide grants program as defined by NC General Statutes, policies, and grant agreements. The role collaborates with the Grants Team to develop policies, provide training, and support audit activities across county departments and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• Three years of accounting, finance, budgeting or grant management experience.
• Equivalent education and experience are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Review grants quarterly to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Review grant requests with Grants Team for proper setup, monitoring and tracking.
• Develop and maintain grant policies and procedures.
• Assist with monitoring and reporting of grants through the financial system.
• Review grant-related Board of Commissioner agenda items for policy compliance.
• Serve as system administrator for external grant portals used by departments.
