Job summary

New York City Housing Authority seeks an Accountant to support the Grants and Fixed Assets processes. Under supervision, you will transfer capital expenditures, reclassify capital invoices, and prepare journal entries, monthly reports, and bank reconciliations.

Minimum qualifications include a 4-year degree with accounting credits or a NY CPA license. Public service loan forgiveness and 55-a program eligibility are noted; residency is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 24 accounting credits, including advanced accounting and auditing.
• CPA license eligible or held.

Responsibilities

• Transfer capital expenditures and commitments in Grants module.
• Prepare batch entries, journal entries, and monthly/weekly reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconciling rent statements.
• Research and prepare reports for senior management.

Education
