Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Grants and Contracts Officer to provide budgetary and administrative support for pre-award management, enabling timely grant and contract proposals. The Grants and Contracts Officer provides budgetary and administrative support to Principal Investigators for all facets of pre-award management by facilitating the preparation and submission of grant and contract proposals.
Assist Principal Investigators and staff in assessing funding opportunities and submitting applications/proposals for funds to governmental (Federal, State, Local) and non-profit entities (foundations, educational institutions, research organizations). Manage electronic grant submissions via grants.gov, NSF Fastlane, and individual foundations' web-based applications. Responsible for budget preparation and financial planning for research and sponsored proposals. (30%)
Assist in the preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of extramural awards from government, industry, etc., drafting subagreements, consulting arrangements, and any necessary legal documents (CDA, MTA, Data Use, etc.) that might be required in connection with such awards and collaborations. (30%)
Act as a liaison and facilitates communications between Allegheny Singer Research Institute management, accounting, investigators, and/or external organizations in regard to sponsored research agreements/programs. (15%)
Assist in the annual budget process providing data on funded programs. (15%)
Provide ad hoc reports to management and department administration as requested. (10%)
Perform other duties as required or requested by manager.
