Job Title: Grants Manager / Grants Analyst

Summary

We are seeking a Grants Manager (or experienced Grants Analyst ready to step up) to support pre-award and post-award grant activities within an academic or research-driven environment. This role will partner closely with Principal Investigators (PIs), research teams, and internal stakeholders to manage federal grant funding processes, ensure compliance, and support the full grant lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in NIH or federal funding, along with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Must-Haves

• Experience in pre-award and/or post-award grant management
• Background supporting federal grant funding (NIH strongly preferred)
• Prior experience working in an academic, research institute, or university hospital setting
• Experience partnering with Principal Investigators (PIs) and research teams
• Strong understanding of grant lifecycle, compliance, and funding regulations
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Nice-to-Haves / Plusses

• Experience managing full lifecycle grants (end-to-end)
• Background in budget development, grant submissions, and reporting
• Familiarity with research administration systems or grant management tools
• Experience supporting high-volume or fast-paced research environments
• Prior experience stepping into a lead or manager-level responsibility

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support and manage pre-award and post-award grant activities
• Partner with PIs and research teams to prepare, submit, and manage grant applications
• Ensure compliance with federal funding guidelines and institutional policies
• Monitor grant budgets, timelines, and deliverables
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to track funding, reporting, and outcomes
• Assist in improving processes related to grant management and administration
• Duration: 6–12 month contract to hire (potential for extension/conversion)
