Job summary

The State of Maryland's St. Mary's County Health Department seeks a full-time Grants Administrator to oversee multiple funding streams, ensure compliance, monitor expenditures, and provide timely grant reporting.

You will coordinate with fiscal and program staff, manage subrecipient tracking, and support procurement and documentation to keep complex grants on track.

Candidates should have five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in grant evaluation and monitoring or budget preparation, presentation and execution.
• Candidates may substitute a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in grant evaluation and monitoring or budget preparation, presentation and execution for the required experience.
• Candidates may substitute graduate education from an accredited college or university in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, political science or public administration at a rate of 30 credit hours for the required experience.
• Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in the Budget Officer classifications or Financial Management specialty codes in the Budgeting field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• The main purpose of this full-time position will be to provide grant administration, fiscal monitoring, procurement support, grant reporting, compliance management and grant subrecipient tracking for multiple funding streams and programs in the St. Mary’s RHTP unit.
• This position will ensure the successful execution of multiple complex multi-partner grants by monitoring all expenses, deliverables, contracts and documentation.
• This position will also ensure reporting timelines are met by working with all subrecipients and internal SMCHD staff, including fiscal, DCEP, and all staff working within the grants.
