Kinder+DeBauche is a San Antonio-based, full-service fundraising consulting firm seeking a Grant Writing Consultant to join our team. You will drive grant proposals, research, and client-focused fundraising strategies across sectors, with on-site facilitation and occasional travel.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of grant writing experience and strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional grant writing experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and large projects simultaneously.

• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, volunteers, donors, and prospective donors.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Principals and the Grants/Development Lead Strategist on grant proposals for clients across sectors.
• Plan, coordinate, write, and edit grant proposals and supporting materials in collaboration with Kinder+DeBauche staff.
• Craft well-researched grant proposals tailored to funding requirements and client needs.
• Conduct grant research based on client focus areas.
• Maintain grant tracking tools for internal project management and client-facing applications.
• Attend grant client calls and project status meetings.
• Support nonprofit event production as needed (luncheons, galas, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned based on client needs.

Position Summary:

Kinder+DeBauche is seeking a dynamic and motivated full-time Grant Writing Consultant to join our team. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team that works with a variety of non-profit organizations across all sectors. Working within a collaborative and mission-driven culture, the Grant Writing Consultant will help drive philanthropic growth for our clients.

Ideal candidates are highly self-motivated, bring demonstrated experience in nonprofit fundraising, exceptional relational skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients with professionalism and discretion. Occasional travel and on-site facilitation is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Together with both Principals and the Grants and Development Lead Strategist, work on grant proposals for clients across all sectors;
• With the Grants and Development Lead Strategist and Principal:
• Plan, coordinate, write, and edit grant proposals, including all required supporting materials, in collaboration with Kinder+DeBauche staff;
• Craft grant proposals that are well-researched and customized to adhere to stipulated funding requirements and client needs;
• Conduct grant research based on client focus areas;
• Maintain grant tracking tools for internal project management and client-facing applications;
• Attend grant client calls and Kinder+DeBauche project status meetings;
• Work alongside the larger Kinder+DeBauche team on nonprofit event production including luncheons, galas, and other events; and
• Other duties as assigned based on client needs.
