The ideal candidate has a strong track record in writing and winning grants for K-12 education and nonprofit organizations, particularly in the arts and culture sector. Candidates based in Hawaii are strongly preferred due to our cultural focus.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Research, identify, and apply for grant opportunities that align with our mission.
  • Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications.
  • Develop persuasive narratives, budgets, and supporting materials for grant submissions.
  • Maintain a grants calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and funding cycles.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary data and impact stories.
  • Ensure compliance with grant guidelines and reporting requirements.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in grant writing, particularly in K-12 education and nonprofit arts / culture sectors.
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of funding sources for education and arts nonprofits.
  • Ability to manage multiple grant applications and deadlines efficiently.
  • Hawaii-based applicants are preferred, but remote candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
