Job summary

Gaudenzia is seeking a grants writer to join the Philanthropy and Grants Department to research, draft, and submit proposals to federal, state, local, and private funders. You will collaborate with internal leaders, maintain grant calendars, track outcomes, and ensure proposals meet instructions, grammar, and style with meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field required.
• At least two years of experience in proposal writing or editing in a similar industry.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
• Actively prospect for new opportunities in alignment with organizational goals.
• Vet opportunities to determine alignment with goals, feasibility, and sustainability.
• Write, edit, and submit grant proposals by required deadlines with attention to grammar and style.
• Attend pre-bidder conferences and schedule proposal planning meetings with leadership and growth team members.
• Develop goals, outcomes, and evaluation metrics for grant proposals.
• Maintain grant repository and database of submitted grants.
• Follow up with funding sources on award status as needed.
• Coordinate with internal teams on reporting requirements and spend-down for grants.
• Research current evidence-based practices for treating SUD and funder trends.
