Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. is seeking a part-time Grant Writer to research, plan, write, submit, and track grant proposals to secure funding for its programs and services.

The role supports the organization’s mission while working onsite 24–28 hours per week on weekdays. The ideal candidate will have an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus 2 years of grant writing experience, strong writing and research skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Requires associate or bachelor’s degree in English, communications, nonprofit management or related field.
• Two years of grant writing experience preferred.
• Proven written and research abilities that include clear, precise, and compelling writing.
• Familiar with grant funding sources.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to work effectively in multi-agency environments.
• Commitment to positively impacting the community and individuals served by the organization.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel for business using a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, write, submit, and track grant proposals to secure funding for the organization’s programs and services.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather data and craft compelling narratives.
• Submit proposals to grantmakers and monitor deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Maintain grant calendar and ensure timely follow-ups and reporting.

Lifesteps, a non-profit agency based in Butler, PA is seeking a part-time talented Grant Writer to join the team.The position is responsible for researching, planning, writing, submitting, and tracking compelling grant proposals to secure funding in support of the Organization’s programs and services.

The position will work 24-28 hours per week, with the work being completed onsite during the weekdays - Monday through Friday.
