Job description

ChristianaCare is currently looking to hire a Full-Time Grant Program Coordinator to join our team at the Avenue North office.

Working with the Grant Manager, this person will be responsible for researching, identifying, developing, and responding to federal and private grant opportunities, and managing the existing portfolio of 33 grants. The ideal candidate should possess excellent computer and business skills, such as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), and have strong financial acumen.

This individual will report to and collaborate with the Grant Program Manager to support programs including:

  • School Based Wellness Centers (27 locations across New Castle County).
  • The Holloway Community Program supporting people living with HIV/AIDS in Wilmington and Georgetown, DE.
  • Juvenile Corrections facilities: Stevenson House in Milford, DE, and The Ferris School in Wilmington, DE.
  • Mobile Health Van
  • Hope Center and other Complex Care programs.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, day shift.
  • No weekends or holidays.
  • This is a 100% onsite position; hybrid schedule possible but not guaranteed.

Remote Work Opportunities: Whether remote work is supported depends on meeting ChristianaCare's business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research new funding and business development opportunities at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with funders and strategic partners.
  • Oversee planning and implementation of grants and contracts for Complex Primary Care Programs, ensuring compliance.
  • Review, accept, and manage complex awards with non-standard terms, multiple investigators, subawards, and amendments.
  • Conduct financial reviews and prepare reports on expenses and budgets.
  • Participate in auditing activities, including payroll and effort reporting.
  • Stay informed of RFP announcements for program expansion.
  • Maintain a schedule of funding cycles, proposals, and reporting deadlines.
  • Maintain a library of grant support documents.
  • Review budget justifications and ensure compliance.
  • Manage prior approval requests and financial reports deadlines.

Position Qualifications:
