Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Two years of professional photography and videography experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects and mobile editing apps.
• Ability to shoot, edit and publish with smartphones and advanced cameras.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality multimedia stories through photography, videography and compelling captions.
• Shoot, edit and publish vertical videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Shorts and stories to drive audience growth.
• Collaborate with newsroom on visual strategy and innovative audience engagement.
• Analyze audience data to inform content and maximize reach on rgj.com and social platforms.
• Mentor colleagues in basic photo/video editing and mobile journalism practices.
