Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown, NJ is seeking a Project Manager for the NJ Folklife initiative. This temporary, project-based role leads folklife research, community engagement, and cultural programming across Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties.

The position runs through the project term with funding contingent and requires collaboration with Education Director, Conservatory Manager, and external cultural partners to expand access and preserve folk arts traditions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in folklife, folklore, ethnography, or a closely related field.
• Familiarity with American Folklife Center Standards and ethnographic research methodologies.
• Experience managing projects with defined scope, timeline, and budget.
• Strong community engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working with diverse cultural communities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
• Experience with grant writing and reporting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage project timeline, milestones, and deliverables within budget.
• Provide quarterly status reports to Executive Director and monthly updates to the Board of Trustees.
• Develop folklife-centered educational programming with Education Director, Education Manager, and Conservatory Manager.
• Establish and cultivate partnerships with cultural communities, grassroots organizations, and cultural practitioners.
• Coordinate integration of folklife content into Perkins programming streams and support grant activities.
