Tarrant County College in Fort Worth is seeking a Grant Funded Part-Time Fetal Infant Mortality Review Abstractor for the Public Health Department. The role involves abstracting medical and legal records related to infant mortality and presenting data at FIMR meetings.

Requires a Nursing degree, Texas RN license, and 1 year nursing experience. The position is grant funded and part-time (up to 20 hours per week) with duties including records retrieval and case presentations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• One year of nursing experience is required.
• Clinical background in public health, obstetrics, pediatrics, neonatology, or perinatology is preferred.
• Current Texas RN license and valid Texas driver’s license are required.

Responsabilidades

• Educates individuals and families regarding prematurity prevention and maternal child health topics.
• Abstracts information from medical records for the FIMR program after initial assessments.
• Contacts hospitals to retrieve medical records for specified cases.
• Completes abstraction forms and submits case summaries to FIMR Coordinator.
• Attends case review team meetings and presents case summaries.
• Performs other duties in the Public Health Department as required.
