Qualifications

  • PhD in a life sciences discipline (molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, immunology, neuroscience, genomics, biomedical engineering, or closely related field).
  • Demonstrated track record of grant writing success, including proposals that have been awarded.
  • Experience translating complex scientific content for non-technical audiences, ideally in a government, policy, or regulated environment.
  • Scientific literacy sufficient to discuss with researchers and push back when claims are imprecise or unsupported.
  • Exceptional written communication for executives, clients, and non-specialist stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in professional workflows, including building lightweight tools or automations.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliverables across parallel programs.
  • Eligibility to obtain a US security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Translate science for government audiences and produce briefs, white papers, and executive reports.
  • Support proposals and grant applications with technical narratives and method descriptions.
  • Build and maintain a content library of reusable technical material.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate drafting, editing, and summarization workflows.
  • Develop regulatory-ready documentation aligned to US and UK frameworks.
  • Create figures, diagrams, and visual materials for broad audiences.
