Job summary

The role requires at least 3+ years of related experience, strong numerical skills, and attention to detail. Familiarity with NIH/U.G.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• Broad knowledge in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting is expected.
• Experience with sponsored research and academic environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recommends overall financial objectives, strategies and policies.
• Performs budget-to-actual reviews, monitors performance and alerts on variances.
• Analyzes financial impact of personnel changes, purchasing, subawards, and awards.
• Prepares timely financial reports and customized analyses for investigators.
• Uses Workday and other systems to monitor activity and allocations.
• Supports grant renewals, progress reports, extensions and closeouts.
• Identifies and resolves accounting discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Assists with financial reconciliation during award closeout.
