Job summary

Veterans Inc., the largest provider of services to veterans and their families throughout New England, is seeking a highly motivated Grant Lead Employment & Training professional to join the team in Lewiston, ME.

This role focuses on client assessments, career/employment training, counseling, and advocacy, plus outreach to homeless/at-risk veterans, networking events, and employer relationships to expand opportunities for veterans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or other related field required.
• Minimum of two years experience in Human Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Counseling, Social Work or relevant area required.
• Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check.
• Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grant goals and needs; coordinate with Regional Manager and document data into the VOPAR system and meet data requests.
• Understand grant requirements and achieve outcomes as established by Veterans Inc. and DOL/VA; complete grant and contract reporting; conduct audits as needed.
• Perform initial intake and assessments of all veterans for acceptance into programs; assist veterans in developing individual training plans.
• Track and report case management progress; maintain monthly reporting in agency database; coordinate with funding sources.
• Understands DOL/HVRP and VA/VRE functions and initiatives.
• Conduct outreach to market Veterans Inc. programs and engage new referral sources.
• Create and maintain information on retraining options; organize and present job readiness workshops and related support services.
