Job description

Grant Delivery Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Grant Delivery Specialist to lead high‑quality grant research, writing and review for our nonprofit partners. The role involves identifying funding opportunities, crafting compelling applications, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across all deliverables.

Responsibilities
  • Lead onboarding and maintain proactive communication with nonprofit partners via calls, email and other touchpoints.
  • Research, evaluate and curate relevant grant opportunities tailored to each partner’s mission and programs.
  • Write and edit LOIs, grant applications and supporting narratives that meet funder requirements.
  • Use AI tools to increase quality and pace while maintaining human judgment and tone.
  • Act as the lead expert reviewer, ensuring drafts are accurate, persuasive and funder‑ready.
  • Manage multiple partner relationships, balancing pace, quality and expectations.
  • Build deep context with 10–15 partners at a time, understanding their goals and impact.
  • Help improve the grant support process to enable higher volume without compromising quality.
Success after 3 months
  • Consistently produce high‑quality grant drafts.
  • Partners feel supported, understood and confident in the work provided.
  • Funding opportunities are well‑matched, relevant and clearly explained.
  • AI is used thoughtfully to enhance speed, consistency and quality.
  • Diligently identify and raise risks, blockers or deadline concerns early.
  • The grant support process becomes clearer, stronger and easier to scale.
Qualifications
  • A STEM degree from a recognised university or equivalent evidence of strong analytical thinking.
  • 5+ years of grant writing experience, ideally for nonprofits, charities or mission‑led organisations.
  • Deep understanding of funding landscapes, eligibility criteria, funder priorities and what makes a proposal competitive.
  • Ability to translate complex context into specific, persuasive, funder‑ready narratives.
  • Confidence using AI tools for research, drafting, editing and quality assurance, with clear judgment of when human intervention is required.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, early communication and enjoyment of building in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring deadlines, geographic nuances, funding restrictions and structural requirements are consistently met.
  • Partner‑first communication style, combining warmth, clarity and sound judgment.
  • Process discipline: embrace clear systems, well‑managed workflows and transform messy tasks into organized outcomes.
