Scion Nonprofit Staffing is conducting a search for a Contract Manager in New York, NY. This full-time, direct-hire role oversees the financial administration of government and foundation-funded grants and contracts with a strong emphasis on fund accounting and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has nonprofit fund accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with government grant requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in nonprofit fund accounting and financial administration of government-funded programs.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, grant compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience managing federal, state, or local government grants; familiarity with 2 CFR 200 and NY funding requirements preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting; Sage Intacct experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial management and administration of 40+ grants and contracts funded by federal, state, city and private foundations.
• Manage fund accounting, grant expenditures, reconciliations and financial reporting for restricted funding.
• Monitor compliance with government grant regulations, funding agreements and applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare and analyze grant budgets, financial statements and expenditure reports with supporting documentation.
• Review and administer contracts, including fee-for-service agreements, identifying financial risks and compliance considerations.
• Collaborate with finance leadership, program teams and external stakeholders to support audits and contract management.
