Job summary

Collier County BCC is seeking a dedicated accounting professional to support budgeting, accounting and grant-related activities within the Finance Division. The role involves preparing and maintaining budgets, analyzing expenditures, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP/GASB and grant requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is required.
• Two years of related experience.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional and technical duties in support of business activities and/or grant management, including budgeting, accounting, financial and statistical record-keeping.
• Reviews and analyzes financial transactions and identifies technical issues; assists Division managers and the public regarding financial activities pertaining to division programs or grants.
• Provides oversight of procurement and ensures grant compliance, prepares grant reports, and coordinates with subrecipients and auditors.
• Conducts internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance with grants and County policies.
