Job summary

World Vision US is seeking an Accountant to join the Finance Division in a hybrid role based in Federal Way, WA. You will establish accounting records, maintain the general ledger, and analyze financial data to support grants and programs in a not-for-profit environment.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of private, corporate, or public accounting experience and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of one year of private/corporate or public accounting experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Keep Christ central in life and align decisions with WV Core Values.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for public grant commodities.
• Provide input for financial statements and run analyses of accounting reports.
• Prepare aging schedules and complex audit schedules requiring research.
• Develop relationships with business owners to understand trends and variances; communicate solutions.
• Prepare internal accounting reports for Finance leadership.
• Evaluate internal controls, regulatory compliance, and efficiency improvements.
• Develop understanding of the international World Vision partnership and apply it to communications and decisions.
• Stay current with related areas via self-study or continuing education.
• Collaborate with team and perform other duties as assigned.
