Zusammenfassung

United Way for Greater Austin is seeking a Grant Accountant to ensure grant compliance across federal, state, city and private grants. You will manage reporting deadlines, prepare budgets, monitor spending, and ensure monitoring and financial reporting requirements are met.

This role reports to the Finance Grants Manager and Controller; requires a BA in Accounting/Finance, 2–3 years in non-profit accounting, and strong GAAP knowledge. Hybrid work in Austin, TX.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of grant accounting experience.
• 2–3 years of professional non-profit accounting experience.
• Fiscal monitoring of grant contracts, state or federal preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and Governmental Accounting Standards.
• Familiarity with Texas grant regulations and federal aid rules.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication with colleagues and funders.

Aufgaben

• Ensure grant compliance for United Way and subcontractors across grants.
• Manage grant reporting deadlines and prepare financial reports.
• Develop and monitor grant budgets, track spending and variances.
• Maintain systems for submitting funding and reimbursement requests.
• Record and reconcile grant transactions, ensure audit readiness.
• Collaborate with grant program managers on budgets and compliance.
• Support Finance Grants Manager and Controller with reporting and audits.
• Improve grant accounting processes and documentation.
