Job summary

Celebree School is seeking a Grant Accountant to oversee the Maryland MSDE Prekindergarten Expansion Grant, managing the financial lifecycle of awarded funds and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will liaise between grant program managers and the internal support center, track expenditures, prepare reports, and assist auditors with 3–5 years of grant/government accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 3-5 years of grant/government accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of grant or government accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grant expenditures to ensure they are allowable and allocable and align with GAAP and MSDE guidelines.
• Track and monitor grant expenditures against budgeted amounts.
• Prepare labor distribution and payroll allocation adjustments.
• Reconcile grant-related accounts on a monthly basis.
• Monitor grant obligations to prevent overspending or underspending.
• Prepare and submit reimbursement requests, invoices and financial reports to the grantor.
