MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Grant Accountant to support our accounting team in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

The role involves coordinating grant accounting cycles, liaising with grant providers, and supporting annual Uniform Guidance audits. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Accountancy, GL accounting experience, and strong GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy required.
• Experience with General Ledger accounting required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Proficient in MS Office and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate the grant accounting transaction cycle, ensuring policy compliance.
• Serve as primary liaison between MERS/Missouri Goodwill and grant providers; assist with Uniform Guidance audits.
• Prepare and process invoices; maintain documents and reconcile accounts monthly.
• Coordinate and verify supporting docs for timely month-end reporting.
• Review monthly grant income statements for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with annual budget development and year-end audits.
• Assist in coordination and completion of the annual Uniform Guidance Audit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide benefits eligibility and enrollment information for full-time staff.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Coordination of the grant accounting transaction cycle, including policy and procedure assurance.
• Primary liaison between MERS/Missouri Goodwill and grant providers as well as the responsibility to assist the Grants Accounting Supervisor and Controller with annual Uniform Guidance Audit.
• Invoice preparation and processing, including document maintenance and monthly account reconciliation.
• Coordinate and verify supporting documentation to insure accurate and timely month end reporting.
• Review monthly grant income statements for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with completion of annual budget and year end audit.
• Assist in coordination and completion of the annual Uniform Guidance Audit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Immediate date of hire individual and family medical benefits for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.
