Grand Rapids - Radon Installation Technician

Base pay range

$45,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

The Radon Mitigation Technician at SWAT Environmental is responsible for installing and servicing radon mitigation systems. SWAT seeks self-motivated individuals with a positive attitude and a desire to grow with the company. The role requires independent work, customer service, problem-solving, and time management skills. Military Welcome!

Essential Functions:

• Inspect homes and collaborate with customers to determine optimal placement of radon mitigation systems.
• Install systems by drilling, cutting, running PVC pipes, installing fans, and sealing openings.

Who Qualifies?

Ideal candidates have experience as a Cable Technician, Maintenance Technician, Plumber, HVAC Technician, Electrician, Handyman, Apprentices, Construction Laborers, Roofers, Carpenters, or are comfortable with ladders, customer service, and seeking a career to develop skills.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Willingness to travel to Traverse City, MI, once trained.
• 1+ years’ experience in construction, maintenance, or related trades preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry a 60-pound ladder and work at heights up to 40 feet.
• Capable of working in confined spaces, with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Operate tools safely and maintain certifications.
• Use technology such as mobile phones, tablets, and laptops.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
