Job summary

Maricopa County is seeking an Attorney IV – Grand Jury Bureau Chief to lead the Grand Jury Bureau within the County Attorney’s Office. This role supervises attorneys presenting cases to the grand jury and handles related administrative duties.

The position involves petitioning for grand jury panels, empaneling juries, providing orientation and trainings, and interacting with public and law enforcement on various issues. Strong supervisory experience and a JD are required.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school.
• Five years of experience as an attorney.
• Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and manage the Grand Jury Bureau and assigned attorneys.
• petition the court for grand jury panels and empanel juries as needed.
• Develop and conduct trainings on grand jury matters and policies.
