Job description

This position supports children and youth with play and crafts while grandfamilies attend the monthly support group. A childcare facility is set up with many activities to keep kids busy.

The time commitment for this position is the third Thursday of every month from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Volunteers should be passionate about children and families. They should be willing to support children that come from challenging backgrounds, often involving child welfare, parental addictions, abandonment, and various types of trauma. These children need someone who can connect with them and make them feel safe and cared for.

Skills needed for this position include the ability to connect with children, previous experience working with children in other organizations, flexibility with time, an energetic attitude, a desire to work with children and youth, and a friendly and welcoming personality.

We are seeking two volunteers, requiring a minimum of two volunteers at all times.
