Qualifications

GRAINS OPERATOR

LOCATION

Levelland, TX

JOB SUMMARY

The Grains Receiver is responsible for inspecting and sampling deliveries to ensure quality and other specifications are met. The position weights and directs truck deliveries. In addition, the Grain Receiver loads/unloads trucks. Grains receiver is responsible for the loading of wet/dry distillers and experience with frontend loader is preferred. Grain Receiver is also responsible for the proper inspection, safe loading of alcohol rail and trucks.

SALARY

Starting at $20/hr - commensurate with experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor inbound/outbound deliveries through the scale house
    • Inspect and sample (prove) grain from the trucks.
    • Weigh trucks and print tickets to verify the weight of the truck.
    • Approve invoices from vendors.
  • Load rail cars and or truck
    • Follow standard operating procedure and checklist
    • Ship product made on a daily basis
    • Ensure adequate space is available in storage tank
  • Inspect rail cars and or trucks to ensure rail cars are safe to load and move to proper location.
    • Check mechanisms and make sure the rail car is secure to the rail
    • Display appropriate signs to indicate movement of rail car
    • Use track mover and secure road
    • Document results on inspection sheet
  • Enter data into the computer
    • Input BOL and shipping information
    • Fill out shipping papers
  • Perform preventative and general maintenance and general housekeeping duties including cleaning grain equipment, scale, wet cake pad, grain receivers and rail areas
    • Follow grains scheduled cleaning list
    • Follow grains scheduled PM list for machines.
  • Follow all safety guidelines to ensure compliance
    • Attend regular safety meetings
    • Review MSDS documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma / GED
  • Six months related work experience
  • Ability to follow direction and standard operating procedures
  • Work in a safe manner
  • Ability to speak and comprehend basic English
  • Ability to, and stand and walk frequently; twist, bend reach on a regular basis
  • 1 year of related work experience
  • Knowledge of computers, machine operation and rail car operations
