Job summary

Heartland Co-op is seeking a warehouse/operational associate in Fairfield, IA, to receive, store, and load commodities and products such as grain, fertilizer, seed, and related items. The role includes assisting with scale operation, maintaining accurate inventory, and performing routine maintenance around elevators and warehouses.

The position requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and commercial insurability at all times.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Receive and properly store commodities and products into the facility.
• Load customer and Heartland Co-op trucks/trailers with products.
• Assist with scale operation and inventory records at the facility.
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping in elevators, mills, warehouses, and shops.
