Job summary

Candidate will assist in scale operation, drive safety, and ensure dock logs are kept in order. Physical stamina for lifting up to 100 pounds is required, with valid driver’s license and insurability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percents.

Responsibilities

• Receive and store commodities and products in the facility.
• Load trucks/trailers with equipment (end loader, forklift) or by hand.
• Assist with scale operation and inventory accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping in elevators, mills, warehouses and shops.
• Maintain dock logs and adhere to log book/maintenance programs.
• Assist in scheduling, loading and delivery of fertilizer and chemicals as needed.
• Prepare barges or railcars for loading and unloading as required.
