Job summary

Columbia Grain International, LLC in Chester, MT is hiring a Warehouse Operator to handle receiving, storing and shipping of grain at the Tiber Pulse Plant. You will work with the team to meet throughput goals while upholding quality and safety standards.

The role requires operating equipment, weighing grain, recording data, sampling, maintaining storage charts, and basic computer use. A strong work ethic and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and manage grain flow at elevators.
• Weigh grain accurately and print sign scale tickets for all loads.
• Take representative grain samples and record results.
• Maintain storage charts for tanks and bins.
• Monitor and record grain grades from samples.
• Start conveyors and elevators to move grain for storage or loading.
• Prepare rail cars for loading and safely access elevated areas.
• Operate a forklift and perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Keep area clean and follow safety policies.
• Assist with other duties as needed.
