Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a grain handler to safely manage grain during storage and shipment on our Louisiana facility. You will prepare scale tickets, inspect grain, and transfer it to storage bins using conveyors while ensuring even distribution and minimal waste.

The role requires manual shoveling where conveyors cannot reach, operating non-CDL farm trucks, and performing routine maintenance on equipment. You may climb grain legs to inspect elevated areas and adapt to changing duties as weather and

Qualifications

• Three months of experience required.
• Basic English literacy required.
• Must have or obtain a driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Drug testing may be performed after hire at the employer’s expense.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and document grain scale tickets accurately.
• Inspect grain upon receipt and transfer to appropriate storage bins using conveyors.
• Coordinate loading for outbound transportation and ship grain as required.
• Manual shoveling in areas where conveyors cannot reach during bin clean-outs or maintenance.
• Perform routine housekeeping to keep storage and loading areas clean and safe.
• Safely drive non-CDL farm trucks between locations on the property and operate other facility equipment.
• Conduct basic maintenance and minor repairs on grain handling equipment.
• Climb vertical grain legs and access elevated areas for inspection or maintenance.
• Duties may vary with weather and crop conditions, and workers may change locations or tasks.
